Welcome to HostingOpinion.com (“HostingOpinion”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms govern your access to our web hosting review & coupon portal, listing subscriptions (Free/Pro/Premium), Sponsored placements, Badges, and our digital marketplace for WHMCS addons, modules, plugins, scripts and related software (collectively, the “Services”). By using any part of the Services or purchasing any product (“Product”), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any product-specific license (EULA).

1) General Terms

• We operate a content and commerce platform featuring editorial reviews, user reviews, discount coupons, partner offers, and a marketplace for WHMCS addons.
• Content (pricing, features, uptime claims, etc.) may be sourced from providers or affiliates and can change without notice; you should verify on the provider’s official website before purchase.
• We may earn commissions from affiliate links or Sponsored placements. See “Advertising & Disclosures”.
• Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to purchase paid listings, Sponsored placements, or digital products.
• Compliance: You are responsible for complying with applicable laws (including tax, invoicing, data protection, and export rules) in your jurisdiction.

2) Listings: Free, Pro, and Premium

Placement, ranking, and visibility for Free/Pro/Premium may still vary due to relevance, freshness, performance metrics, user signals, and editorial judgment.

3) Sponsored Placements

• “Sponsored” denotes paid promotion (e.g., top-of-list tiles, homepage bands, featured cards, newsletter slots).
• Sponsored units are clearly labeled and distinct from editorial/organic placement.
• Sponsored status does not guarantee ratings/reviews; editorial independence is maintained.
• Campaign deliverables (impressions, clicks, dates) are defined in an IO/Order and subject to reasonable traffic variance.
• We may decline or pause campaigns that violate applicable laws, IP rights, or user safety.

4) Coupons & Offers

• Coupons are provided by merchants/affiliates and may expire or change without notice.
• We do not guarantee coupon validity or final cart price; merchant checkout prevails.
• “Exclusive” labels indicate partner-provided codes; misuse or public reposting can result in removal.
• Click/copy events may be tracked to improve accuracy and detect abuse.

5) Badges (e.g., Verified, Editor’s Choice, Top Rated, Category Winner)

• Verified Badge: Granted to providers who complete our verification (ownership + basic KYC + domain/email checks) and meet baseline reliability criteria; subject to periodic re-validation and potential revocation.
• Award Badges: “Editor’s Choice”, “Top Rated”, or “Category Winner” reflect editorial and/or aggregated user-rating outcomes over a defined period and may be updated or retired.
• Display Rules: Badges may be displayed on HostingOpinion and, if permitted, on your site with proper attribution (no alteration). Misuse can result in withdrawal.
• Expiry: Some Badges are time-bound and will show “Active until” or “Expired on” when applicable.

6) WHMCS Addons (All Types)

6.1 License & Usage

• Unless specified otherwise, each license is for one WHMCS installation (single domain or path).
• Staging/subdomain allowances are defined per product; when unspecified, one staging instance is allowed.
• Redistribution, resale, sharing, decompiling, or attempts to bypass licensing are prohibited.
• License verification may collect limited technical data (domain, IP, install path, version) solely to validate authenticity.

6.2 Compatibility & Dependencies

• Supported WHMCS and PHP versions are listed on each product page. Using unsupported versions voids support obligations.
• Server-level dependencies (e.g., ionCube, PHP extensions, firewall/ports, cron) are your responsibility.

6.3 Delivery, Updates & Support

• Delivery is digital (download/dashboard) post-payment and, where applicable, license activation.
• Purchases include 6 months of updates and standard support unless otherwise stated; renewals may be offered.
• Support covers product defects and guidance as documented; it excludes custom development, third-party conflicts, server setup/hardening, or unrelated WHMCS issues.

6.4 Customization & Source

• Customization is optional, quoted separately, and delivered as-is unless a separate statement of work is signed.
• If obfuscated loaders are used, editing core code is not permitted; provided hooks/templates may be extended per docs.

7) Payments, Pricing & Taxes

• Prices may be shown in INR (₹) and/or USD ($) and can change without prior notice.
• Accepted methods may include Razorpay, UPI, cards, net banking, PayPal, and others listed on checkout.
• Where applicable, taxes (e.g., GST) are added at checkout and shown on invoices.
• For Sponsored/Listing services, billing cycles (monthly/quarterly/annual) and start dates are noted in the Order/IO.

8) Refunds & Cancellations

8.1 Digital Products (WHMCS Addons)

• All sales are final due to the nature of digital goods.
• Exceptions (case-by-case): duplicate payment; material non-functionality that our team cannot reproduce or resolve within 7 days of a support ticket with server access/logs.
• No refunds for wrong environment, unsupported WHMCS/PHP versions, conflicts with nulled or heavily modified installs, or change of mind.

8.2 Marketing Services (Pro/Premium, Sponsored)

• Prepaid and non-refundable once the placement period begins or deliverables are reserved.
• If we fail to launch due to our fault, we may reschedule or credit your account.

8.3 Coupons

• Coupons are not products we sell; there are no refunds from HostingOpinion related to coupon usage. Merchant terms apply.

9) Reviews, Ratings & Moderation

• User reviews must be truthful, respectful, and based on real experiences. We may request proof of purchase/usage.
• We may hide or remove content for spam, abuse, conflicts of interest, or policy/legal violations.
• Average ratings aggregate eligible reviews and may exclude suspected manipulation.

10) Advertising & Disclosures

• We use affiliate links and Sponsored placements and may earn commissions at no extra cost to you.
• Sponsored content is labeled. Editorial content remains independent.
• We comply with applicable advertising and disclosure guidelines (e.g., FTC-style principles).

11) Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

• No infringement, malware, phishing, spam, hate, or unlawful content.
• No scraping at abusive rates or automated actions that degrade service quality.
• No attempts to bypass paywalls, licensing checks, or security controls.

12) Intellectual Property

• All site content, code, and design elements are owned by HostingOpinion or respective licensors.
• Logos, trademarks (e.g., WHMCS), and brand names belong to their owners and are used nominatively.
• Do not copy, reverse-engineer, or republish our materials without written consent.

13) Privacy, Cookies & Data

• Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why (e.g., analytics, licensing telemetry for addons).
• Addons may perform license callbacks transmitting limited technical metadata to validate usage.
• We use cookies/identifiers for analytics, conversion tracking, fraud prevention, and personalization.

14) KYC, Compliance & Export

• We may require basic KYC for certain purchases or payouts (especially for Verified badge eligibility or B2B invoices).
• You are responsible for compliance with local laws, including export controls for cryptography and data transfer.

15) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• Services and Products are provided “as is” without warranties (express or implied) including fitness or merchantability.
• We do not guarantee results from Sponsored placements, SEO, traffic, or sales uplift.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim for the specific Service/Product involved.

16) Suspension & Termination

• We may suspend or terminate access for violations (e.g., fraud, license tampering, abusive behavior, legal risk).
• Badges and placements may be revoked upon policy breach or misrepresentation.

17) Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
• Material changes will be signposted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.

18) Governing Law & Disputes

• Unless stated otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of India.
• Venue and jurisdiction: courts located in India (e.g., New Delhi), subject to mandatory consumer law where applicable.
• Parties will attempt good-faith resolution before formal proceedings.
